Why Be Committed to a Non-Commitment

By Brooke Brimm Have you ever been in a relationship where youve spent lots of time together, youve talked to each other several times a day, youve shared your secrets and inner most thoughts, youve spent many nights together, and you were sure he was the one. Then suddenly he refers to what you think of as a relationship as a friendship. You then realize that what the two of you have has not been solidified. You may have never had the discussion. You know what I mean, the one where he says he only wants to be with you and you say you only want to be with him, and from there the two go away with understanding that you are in a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship. Because you have not had the discussion, you find yourself faced with a dilemma. Do you continue things the way they are, talk to him about the future of this friendship, or leave him behind and start the search again? The choice is yours. However, to protect yourself you need to make it clear to him and yourself that you are not going to be committed to a non-commitment. Assuming a commitment is what you want. Whether you leave the friendship completely or continue with things the way they are, dont be ashamed to tell him that you thought it was a relationship. Since the two of you were behaving as individuals in relationships do, it is natural that you would make that assumption. If he wants things to continue they way the have been, and you still want to see him, see other men too. Dont be afraid to tell him you plan to see him and other people until you are both ready for a relationship, and dont feel any remorse for doing so. I know society likes to label women who see more than one man at a time, but why allow a label to stop you from seeing whats available in the man department. Conduct yourself as a safe adult who has the right to explore her options. Be honest and respectful of all parties involved, and have a good time. You will feel more confident, seem more desirable, and become choosy when you keep your dating options open. Too many times we give a man the pleasures of a relationship and feel ashamed, angry, and hurt because he doesnt want to give us the security of a commitment. Know your worth! Know that you are worthy of a commitment and that you can have one if you want one. If not with the man you thought, then with someone who has the same commitment goal you have. DIY Production V – The Outcome

By Laura Donnelly Finally, you are getting to see the results of weeks and months of hard work You’ve reviewed a proof and seen a sheet come off press to make sure everything was just right. Ah, but there are things that you will have to see when it is all over to truly know the outcome of everyone’s labor. I will discuss your surprises here. 1. Let your design firm be your guide. Follow the guidance of your design firm for they are the ones with trained creativity to take your project to a level you could not have thought of on your own. Would you have thought to put a spot varnish over the images so that they popped off the page more? Do you know what a spot varnish is? How about printing percentages of a metallic ink (not reproducible on proofs) to give your project an extra shimmer? These are things that you will not be able to see until the project is done and something that the firm can only describe to you the best way they know how. 2. Frank Lloyd Wright once said, “An idea is salvation by imagination.” You will have to envision what your project will look like saddle-stitched or perfect-bound because you will not get a sample beforehand, just as you will not get a sample of what the die cut or the foil embossing will look like until the work is actually done. One of the joys of print is to see your creation complete on something other than your home printer, seeing how the ink reacts to a special paper chosen and how the finishing touches like binding, trim and foils take shape. Your project can be so much more than what your computer is showing you as it too has its limits. As you can see, the world of print production is vast and I only scratched the surface. You can choose the do-it-yourself route (more power to you) but even in your business I am sure time is money. I can assure you that you will spend less money having experienced people handling production for you. I attempted to change out an electrical outlet in my house, but I only got zapped once before I had that “perhaps I should call an electrician” moment. Hopefully these past several issues have given you some insight and some things to prevent you from getting zapped yourself. You’ve Been Dumped Part 2

By Lindsay Wincherauk In July I wrote an article entitled: Dumped? Get set for new life. In that article I stressed the importance of avoiding all contact with your ex if you find yourself dumped. I opined the importance of doing so if you ever want to recover, heal your broken heart and become desirable again. A dear friend came to me recently and told me of a story so horrific illustrating the importance of breaking all contact, that I thought I would share it with you. Flashback – 2003. My friend was involved in a very passionate relationship. He was deeply in love and thought he had found his true love. Unfortunately, one day it came to a unexpected end. He was heart-broken, lost and looking for answers. My friend is an ambitious, loving and caring guy and when the hammer fell on his relationship he sunk into a deep depression. His girl at the time had just moved in a few months prior to the break-up and despite my pleas to rid her from his life, he continued to live with her afterwards. She stated: She thought he was a fantastic guy and wanted to remain friends. Can you imagine the torment? He didnt want to lose her, unfortunately, he didnt realize he already had. The tumultuous living arrangement lasted a couple of months, then on one fateful day he took her dog for a walk while she was supposedly at work. Upon his return he walked in on her entertaining. Life grinded to a halt for him on that day. For the months that followed he walked around in a cloud – a broken man. Afterwards, it took him a long time to wipe the heart-ache and images from his mind and to be able to finally cope with life again. Fast-forward – Summer 2005 He had fallen in love again. Once again he was unexpectedly dumped. This time however, he heeded my advice and tried to break free. No more sleeping in the same bed. No more nightly dinners. Well – not entirely, he did continue to profess his love, and he tried to keep in touch on a nightly basis – a gigantic, NO – NO. By doing so you simply lessen the chances of ever rekindling lost love. After-all, right or wrong the dumper, dumped for a reason. And by keeping in touch, you only set yourself up for more heartache. As long as you pine, your questions will no longer be answered to your liking. 1. What are up to? 2. Want to get together tonight? 3. I love you? Wait – thats not a question, quit being so needy. Face reality 99.9% of. (to be continued) ———-Part 2 of this article will be posted once Part 1 recieves 500 views. Lindsay Wincherauk is a Vancouver based author. See his website at http://www.seedenterprises.com. Home Equity Loans – A Method to Unearth the Hidden Equity

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Steve_C_Clark]Steve C Clark You never thought that your home can be worth anything except for living purposes. Yes, a real estate broker would have offered a large sum on this house. But you never planned to sell the house because of an emotional attachment with it. One of the prime customer bases for home equity loan crops from this kind of people. These are people who have been living in the house for years, or it might be their first home. Having seen the joys and sorrows in the home together slowly converted the house from a brick and mortar structure to ones prized home. You get the necessary cash through the sale of house. But, you lose your home for ever. If you are looking for a middle path whereby you can evade losing on your home and get the cash at the same time, then you would surely like the deal offered by home equity loans. Under a home equity loan, the loan provider agrees to lend to the borrower against his home. This amount will be returned with a certain interest after a certain time period. This arrangement suits the residents of the UK the most. Every month the borrower makes a small payment towards the amortisation of the amount lent. It is the borrower who decides the monthly repayments. The logic behind this discretion lies in the inequality in the income levels of borrowers. While a monthly repayment of ₤1000 will suit some borrowers, other may not be able to make such high payments through their monthly salary, which has to pay off the other routine expenses too. How does the loan provider ensure that he will safely receive the amount at the end of the term of home equity loan? It is by retaining the property papers with him. A borrower will not be able to sell home in the absence of the property papers. With the property papers in their possession, the loan provider is the legal owner of the house. But, the loan provider does not exercise this right according to an agreement with the borrower. The agreement is for the return of home equity loan at the end of a stated term with an interest calculated according to a certain rate of interest. During the period of the loan, it is not the home but the equity inherent in it that is being consumed. This explains the reason why the borrower of home equity loan continues living in the house even after pledging it. Home equity loans get the name from the equity consumption in the process. Equity is the value that one gets on selling home. For the calculations of equity, the valuer will undertake a survey to check the amount that will be received on selling it. Deductions for the mortgages already held against home will be made to get an exact figure for home equity. It is a percentage of the home equity that is convertible into cash. The percentage hovers around 80-125% for borrowers with a good credit history. The borrowers who do not have as good a credit history and have undergone bankruptcy any time in the past years are sure to get a much lower equity conversion rate. When changed into currency, the equity in home will fetch anywhere between ₤5000- ₤500000. Home equity loan is a secured loan. All secured loans are cheaper in terms of the rate of interest. Those secured loans, where home guarantees repayment are the cheapest. Sometimes, borrowers can hope to get an APR equivalent to that of mortgage. Some borrowers never relax on the APR front. Their worst fears are of the times when interest rates would rise unexpectedly. Rate locks on home equity loans have been especially designed for this kind of borrowers. A rate lock stabilises the APR at a particular level. However, borrowers who do not want to lose on the further fall in interest rate would continue using the variable rate method. Is the equity in home completely consumed in the process? This is the question that most people ask while drawing home equity loans. Equity is only consumed temporarily. As the borrower makes repayments towards the home equity loan, equity in home gets replenished – readying the home for a new home equity loan. Some ‘Golden Rules’ Of Logo Design

By Wong Weng Chen While the variables are infinite (that’s a good thing – it means that every logo can be unique) there are certain benchmarks (I hesitate to call them rules) that if you follow, will pretty well insure that you’ll end up with a decent and workable logo. While whether or not a logo is ‘good’ remains completely subjective, following these pointers will give you a logo that’s usable, practical and promising a long shelf life. 1) Uniqueness Your logo should be able to stand out as completely ‘yours’. It’s surprising how many times we get asked to ‘copy’ logos – we’ve even had clients request a ‘version’ of my brand. Not a good idea. On top of the potential legal complications nothing screams ‘unprofessional’ like a logo that’s looks even remotely like someone else’s. Do not copy. I’ll say it again. Do. Not. Copy. 2) Timeless Every few years there’s a trend, or fad, that new logos seems to embrace. A few years ago it was the ‘swoosh’ – made logos all hi-tech and ‘internety’. Trouble is, everybody jumped on that bandwagon and the treatment rapidly became hackneyed and trite. Few years hence, and we’ve got lots of people stuck with out of date designs. The latest design logo trend is so-called 2.0, a technique that (like a lot of design trends) can be traced back to Apple Computers. Take your logo, add a ‘gel’ treatment, give it glassy reflection at the bottom and you’re all set. (hey – the 3D version of our house could qualify). Web 2.0 is still going strong, but I’ll go out on a limb and say it will be yesterday’s news by end of summer. 3) Gimmick Free Special FX and filters are usually applied, by inexperienced designers, to logos that are ‘missing something’. Trouble is, what the logo is generally missing is any design integrity, and adding bevels, lens flares and drop shadows is the logo design version of ‘putting lipstick on a pig’. While it certainly shows how cool the latest design software is, it doesn’t do much for the professionalism of your mark. Such treatments are fine for glamour shots (used as display pieces on brochures and the like) but are only going to cause grief down the road, especially when it comes to application of your new logo on standard business material. Your logo should be as technically simple as possible for adaptability, which just happened to be number 4 on our list… 4) Adaptability Over the life of your company, you’ll want to plaster your logo over everything you send out. That’s the point of having a logo in the first place. In order to do this, you’ll need a logo that’s adaptable to every occasion and while they may look ‘pretty’ , the design gimmicks we just talked about render your logo impractical for many of these uses. Some of these uses – checks, FAXes, embroidery, newspaper ads, invoices, letterheads, etc. Your new logo has to work on all of them. You’ll also need a quality black and white version that can reproduce as a halftone grayscale, or in the cases of low-resolution BW reproduction, a linear version. 5) Scalability When using your logo, you’ll need to be able to use it small. Real small. Postage stamp size. Classic example of this – over the years, I’ve designed a load of sports event posters that feature logos from dozens of event sponsors. Space only permits the logos to be featured as very small images and it’s always the simpler logos that stand out when viewed from a distance. The cluttered logos aren’t recognizable to any great degree and the sponsors are probably wasting their money, especially if inclusion on the poster is the only benefit of their sponsorship. When it comes to scalability, the text portion of the logo is the most important, as that’s the piece you want people to remember. Scrawny, sickly text doesn’t read very well at half an inch high. 6) Color is Secondary Colors are extremely important. Using consistent corporate colors will become part of your brand – that’s understood. However, when it comes to the design of your logo, color must always be secondary. A logo that requires color to ‘hold’ the design together is fine when reproduction is optimal – websites, 4 color process printing and what have you – but even then only if the size is appropriate as well. Logos that rely too much on color tend to blend together when used small (see above) and unless the contrast between the two colors is pronounced, will be a grey mess if used in black and white. As for low-resolution reproduction (FAXES, checks, etc) you can forget about readability completely – logos that use color as a design cornerstone usually come out as black blotches on a FAX transmission and with all their money, banks still haven’t figured out how to print a decent check. 7) Appropriate Aspect Ratio & Footprint The aspect ratio of a logo is the relationship between a logo’s height and it’s width. Bottom line, you don’t want a logo that’s too tall, or too wide. Square’ish’ is always best as this allows the maximum adaptability of a logo, especially when it’s being used in conjunction with other artwork. The ‘footprint’ of a logo refers to the amount of physical space that’s required to place a logo on any page. If the footprint is ‘wonky’ – trailing design elements ‘poke’ outside the footprint – it can greatly affect the size that the design can be used at, as well as the visual impact of same. Like most ‘rules’ of design, not all of these will apply in every situation, and in many cases, we’ll toss them out completely. However, they should give you a road map that will help you navigate the sometimes frustrating creative process to design your new logo. $3 per year quality web hosting provider http://www.intelweb.biz Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Wong_Weng_Chen http://EzineArticles.com/?Some-Golden-Rules-Of-Logo-Design&id=499682 what is the different between a secured loan and a unsecured loan who can help me pay off my payday loan reliance personal loan cash loand

The Best Man’s Wedding Speech Guide

By James Nardel So youre the best man and you have to give a speech at the wedding. You could be the brother, the best friend of thirteen years, or you could have met the groom last year. The point is, you have to make a speech in front of a lot of people. What do you say? You might think that its easier for girls- they are good at the mushy stuff after all. Being male, you might not know how to approach your best man speech, with the fear that you dont want to sound too mushy and be made fun of for years to come by your guy friends. So here are some tips to help you avoid that, and come out with a great best man speech that everyone will love. First, tap into your softer-side. It might be hard and you may not have seen that side of you in years, but try. It is a wedding after all. Begin by congratulating the couple. Relate how happy you are for your best friend/brother/friend/cousin, whatever he is to you, and that you know he and his new wife will have a wonderful life together. Second, give it a personal touch. Tell an anecdote of you and the groom. Talk about something that will illustrate how deep your friendship is. You could also talk about an aspect of the grooms personality that will illustrate what a good husband he will be, or how he and his beautiful bride are perfect for each other. Third, remember your audience. Best mans speech can be humorous, but do not go overboard. Some things may be appropriate to say in front of the groom and your friends, but not a room full of people, including parents, young children, and grandmothers. You and the groom might have a long, history together that include crazy road trips and wild parties. This would be the least inappropriate time to comment on these times. If youd like to lighten up the speech a little, make small jokes about little things the groom has done or said. Remember, you do not want to offend the groom, nor you want to embarrass him and everyone else in the room. Fourth, remember to congratulate the groom and his bride. Tell the groom how happy you are for him that he found someone to spend the rest of his life with. Also, thank the audience for allowing you to talk before them. Finally, end with a line about how you know the new couple will be happy for many years to come, and that you wouldnt wish anything less for your best friend/brother/etc. Fifth, practice. Your nerves might be trying to take over your rational thought when you stand up to give your speech. Therefore, so as not to give a speech thats jumbled and jumps from one topic to the next, plan it out and practice. Try reading your best man speech in front of a mirror, a friend, or even a room of your little sisters stuffed animals. It doesnt matter; just practice and youre going to shine with your best mans speech. I hope these tips have given you some pointers on what to say when giving your best man speech at the wedding. Your Safety: Criminials in Russia

By Irina Chernoff I have already told you that one of our clients is staying in Kazan now. I called him a brave man. Sometimes I hear some sad stories about postponing meetings between Western men and our women. They can fail because mens close people and relations persuade them not to go to dangerous Russia. Bandits all over! If you are lucky to escape them you are certain to be caught by KGB. It would be very funny but I see this argument works and some men take it really serious! Yes, we have a high level of criminal activity in Russia. Yes, our criminals tend to form bands. Yes, Russian laws work poorly. Its true. But how can WE live here?? If everything were so terrible we would have been murdered long ago! Ask yourself; where in the world there are no criminals? Where is this paradise? We like having rest at such wonderful resorts as the Turkish, Italian, French and Spanish seaside. You mean there are no criminals in these countries? Im going to tell you a typical story that happened in Kazan with our current guest. Yesterday he came to our office with Sabina, our manager. He had to spend the night at her place! Whats happened?, we asked. It turned out to be that he failed to unlock his door and spent 4 hours outside. When he finally became frozen all over he called Sabina. It was 1 a.m.! She came and they tried to unlock the door together. It was dark and they thought the door was curved and the lock broken. Robbers! Sabina had to take our guest to her house. Having heard this story I thought, Its just in time! Im writing a newsletter about safety in Russia! We called some workers to unlock the door and change the lock but there was no need in the latter. The door was OK and nobody tried to burst in. Our guest simply twisted the bolts too tightly and the door wouldnt open. Take a deep breath and relax. :) ) But Next morning he came with his forehead broken! Whats up?!, we asked. I thought the worst: beating, robbery But he just slipped and fell down in the bath. Now Im asking myself, Whats it that is going to happen with him tomorrow??? :-) )) I call this story happened in Kazan a typical one because it is VERY real. We are ready to face troubles more than good things. We tell each other horror stories and worry a lot but we tend to learn about the majority of crimes from evening documentaries It seems like a virtual world showing some events that happen in our city and country but do not affect us personally (thanks God!:)! Crimes can take place in all countries. Lets just count: Al-Kagida in America, basks in Spain, IRA in England, Albanians in Western Europe, Pakistanis in Israel, the North Korea in the Far East, extreme military Muslim bands in the Middle East Oh, no registered acts of terrorism in Antarctica! How about meeting there? I feel sad when I hear that our men and women can spoil their wonderful relations long before they meet. They just discuss the place of meeting and misunderstanding! Its much more expensive for a man to meet a woman in his country, for example, a European one. But mens relations are persistent in talking him out of going to Russia. Of course, the best variant is to meet your fiance in her country. Youll be able to understand her personality better and meet her family and friends. This will make you see your future wife in various situations. Youll have a chance to see her place and the conditions of everyday life. Youll get more information than from a hundred of letters. In case you are scared of Russia so much maybe you would better seek an American wife? ;-) But I dont think it is going to be the best choice. Ive just seen a well-known joke in the net. This is an American joke and it very well fits the situation: “Its easier to teach a Russian woman English than an American one to be a good wife!” Anyone thinking the other way??? :-) Irina Chernova I am 28 years old Russian female, working in dating field for almost 7 years and my specialty is dating articles for ChanceForlove Russian Dating Services Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Irina_Chernoff http://EzineArticles.com/?Your-Safety:-Criminials-in-Russia&id=111545 pay day loan lenders in ga sample paycheck stubs templates cash purchase vs auto loan unsecured uk tennant loans

How to Search for a New Career Before Giving Up Your Old One

By Kathy Swann Are you thinking about changing careers but scared to blindly jump into something new? Are you not sure where to start? Most people are unhappy and frustrated with their current job, but dont know how to create a plan to move into a new career. If you are lost about where to start, and not sure what career would interest you right now, think about your hobbies. What did you love to do when you were a kid? If you love books, maybe you would like to work in a library or bookstore. If you are good at math, consider an accounting position. Thank about how you would spend your time if you didnt have to work to earn a living. Taking a class to learn a new skill is now easier than ever. Most colleges offer online courses that will allow you to work at a time convenient for you. You will have specific deadlines to meet just as if you were in a classroom, but you are able to work at your own pace and within your own weekly schedule. Try something new, even if youre not sure if you would like it. Learn photography, update your computer skills, or take a yoga class. Even if you wind up hating it, you wont know if you dont try. If you have an idea about what you would like to do, why not work at it part-time? Suppose you work in the medical field now but think you now want to work with animals. You could get a part-time job working in a veterinarians office or a kennel. There are plenty of part-time gigs you can do at night or on the weekend. Of course, youre giving up some of your free time, but isnt this a small price to pay to test the waters before making the plunge to full-time? Starting out part-time for an employer is one of the best ways to work into a full-time position later. Volunteering is always an option. While you are helping others, you are also finding out if something is right for you. How about coaching a sports team at your kids school? Could you tutor someone who doesnt know how to read? Maybe you wont wind up changing careers after all, but instead build a part-time business that allows you to be creative and express yourself. If you play the piano, could you give personal lessons?
